Kempler & Strauss unveils Billionair 7 smartphone

We recently covered a device from Kempler & Strauss in the form of the highly interesting W PhoneWatch, and it seems that the company wants to extend its 15 minutes of fame by another quarter of an hour by unveiling the Billionair 7 smartphone. Guess all the money in the world can’t buy an education since the world Billionair is mis-spelt (on purpose, no doubt), making us wonder what happened to the first six iterations of the Billionair range. Making its debut at the International CTIA Wireless event, this next-generation feature-rich business-class smartphone is touted to integrate the best user interfaces of the most popular business and consumer smartphone platforms available in the market today in order to deliver the first GSM quad-band 3.5G phone based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Platform.

To make matters all the more interesting, the Billionair 7 smartphone is touted to offer a frameless touchscreen display accompanied by a full QWERTY keyboard for those who prefer the more traditional way of composing text messages and emails while on-the-go. This combination of interfaces will provide the user with various avenues to quickly and easily access applications via the touchscreen, while making replying of text messages and emails a snap. A 624MHz processor runs at the heart of this device, where it ought to be able to offer enough muscle to support advanced applications and handle multi-tasking without missing a beat. In addition, you will find a front-facing VGA resolution camera to handle all your video calls via 3G (or Wi-Fi), while the rear 3-megapixel camera is perfect to capture snapshots of impromptu moments when you forgot to bring out your normal digital camera.

Kawaii Bear lets you plug USB gadgets into the wall

This walks a very delicate line between cute and just plain wrong.  Sure, the bear is absolutely adorable, however, the place to plug in the charger seems a bit unfortunate.  It might be better if they chose to plug him in at his mouth or even the center of the bear’s back. Yet for some reason they had to go for the rear, we’ll just think of it as an overly long tale.

This plug makes it possible to plug in all of your devices that usually require a USB port to charge.  There’s no shortage of adapters that make it possible to plug your USB gadgets into the wall, but none do it all the while being a pastel little bear.  It comes in not only the adorable pink, but in white and black as well.  In order to pick up your very own, it’ll cost you 1980 yen or about $9.  Of course it might be difficult since it is a Japanese product.

The Sega Genesis has been around a long time. Like Nintendo, the designers at Sega understand that individuals want the freedom of enjoying games outside of the home. The company created the Sega GenMobile to give consumers a new option in the portable gaming industry.

StressWatch tells you its time to relax

My source called the StressWatch “the mood ring of the 21st century”, but all I can say about it is that someone should have invented it a long time ago.

After all, we live in an age where people wake up at ungodly hours, go to demeaning jobs, come home to face family issues, and barely have time to wind down before they go to sleep. In short, we live in age where everyone is under stress. And if that doesn’t stress you out, then you don’t need the StressWatch.

As you can see from the pic, there is a black bar graph to show your stress levels. The blues and greens that you see there means that you are mellow, but pink, red or orange means you’re one stressed out fellow. I am going to assume that it reads your pulse, sweat from your wrist, or something.

Not only that, it can also tell the time. So that way you can get to your next appointment, so that you can always stay ahead and…I suppose that deadlines are the source of our stress, isn’t it? Just breathe deep and think calming thoughts to get back into the safe zone.

Well, this device is merely concept as now, but it deserves to be made reality. I could use a little reduced stress now.
